Before paying for another batch of videos, check whether people already find your existing work through Google. A service demonstration, a completed project or a clear answer to a buyer’s question can be useful long after its first week in a social feed.

Google made Search Console’s platform properties globally available on 29 July 2026. They cover Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube accounts. Your business website and your social account are separate properties, so a quiet website report does not describe every route by which people might discover your work.

Start with an account you already use

Choose an account with genuine service content. There is no need to create four accounts or commission new filming to begin. Add and verify that account as a platform property in Search Console, following Google’s setup guidance. Each account is verified individually.

Allow a few days for processing. A new property can have empty charts or history covering only the period since collection began. If an account connection later expires, re-verification may be needed. An empty report alone does not establish that your videos are poor.

Review the content people actually find

Open the platform property’s Performance report and choose a complete date range. Keep the property and dates alongside any export so you can repeat the review. Google’s social and video analysis guide explains how to inspect individual posts, queries, countries and devices.

For a UK service business, try this small review:

  1. Open three existing posts or videos. Do they explain a real service, a common problem or a completed job? Use work you have permission to show.
  2. Check the reported search terms. Compare the words people used with the subject you actually explained. Record what is visible; do not turn missing queries into a guessed keyword list.
  3. Inspect the UK segment where available. It can provide useful context, but country alone does not identify a buyer in your service area.
  4. Choose one improvement. Clarify an accurate title, add a useful caption or answer an observed question in a follow-up. Record the change date and retain the original export.

Compare later observations using consistent windows. A seasonal topic, another post or a change in Google’s presentation could also affect traffic; a before-and-after chart cannot isolate your edit’s effect.

Keep clicks, views and enquiries separate

The platform property describes discovery through Google, not views inside the social platform. Google also counts a video click when it opens inside Google’s own viewer. That click is not necessarily a visit to your website.

Keep three records separate: Search Console’s Google activity, the platform’s own engagement, and enquiries your business actually receives. Ask where an enquirer found you when that is useful and appropriate. Do not relabel impressions or video clicks as leads, booked jobs or AI recommendations.

Ask for evidence before buying more content

If someone manages your content, ask for the property, date range, relevant post URLs and the observation behind their next recommendation. A good proposal should make it possible to inspect the work and understand the intended improvement.

This guide describes a first review, not an AIEO client case study. The free website health check examines your site’s technical readiness; it does not read your private platform reports. For website discovery, our visual-search guide covers a different Search Console view.
